About
I am a Christian and Native American freelance photographer in Oklahoma City. I am member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma. Ah-pah-lohm is my Kiowa name. It was my late grandmother’s Kiowa name and it means “we took a chance” or “take a chance” in the Kiowa language.
I became interested in photography when I was 11 years old when my dad bought a 35 mm film camera right before we went on vacation. I was obsessed with learning how to use it and basically took over the camera from that point forward.
I have taken photos for people and organizations for many years; events, individual portraits, head shots; and family photos, but specialize in events and portraits.
I worked in the oil and gas industry for over 35 years until 2015 when I was laid off from a company I was with for 26 years. I was offered early retirement so chose to retire [not really]. Since then, I have worked part time and have continued to do my photography. I am self-taught and am continually learning as I strive to improve my photography skills.
I believe that God has blessed me with the ability and desire to do photography and I work diligently to produce the most beautiful images for you that I possibly can at an affordable price. Nothing makes me happier than for clients to tell me how much they love their photos. I want to create beautiful, treasured images that can be shared with family, loved ones and generations to come.
